“很N”构式是“程度副词＋名词”结构中最为典型的一种。该构式的允准通常被认为是N发生了范畴转化或功能游移。从认知语法的视角省察，该构式是复杂范畴，其允准经历了范畴化和语境遮隐两个步骤：第一，说话人分别运用构式图式“很＋在某（些）特征方面像N”’、“很＋在N的转喻性特征方面像N”、“很＋有抽象名词概括性特征的”、“很＋在复合方位名词表示的方向上远”对“很N”构式范畴化；第二，通过语境遮隐，具体构式的音系结构简化为N，语境遮隐的动因是说话人以简驭繁、含蓄委婉的表达意图。

＂Hen N＂ construction is one of the typical ＂Adverb ＋ Noun＂ structures. The sanctioning of this construction is generally taken as N undergoing category change or functional shift. Studying this construction from the perspective of Cognitive Grammar, we argue that this construction is a complex category, and its sanction undergoes categorization and contextual shading： first, the speaker categorizes＂hen N＂ constructions, drawing on constructional schemas ＂zai mou（xie） tezheng fangmian xiangN/N＂, ＂hen ＋ zai Nde zhuanyuxing tezheng fangmian xiangN＂, ＂hen ＋ you chouxiang mingci gaikuoxing tezheng de＂, and ＂hen ＋ zai fuhe fangwei mingci biaoshi de fangxiangshang yuan＂ respectively; second, the phonological structure of a particular construction reduces to N through contextual shading. Contextual shading is motivated by the speakers intention to deduce simplicity into complexity and to be implicit and euphemistic.
