“插花村”是历史遗留下来的比较特异的情形，分治的渊源不一而论，有待考证。河北省的冀州市与新河县边界处就有6个这样的村庄。它们分别是：南小寨村、东高庄村、西高庄村、北黄家庄村、董家庄村和东千家庄村。这些“插花村”在居住分布上，大致按街分片居住，按块分片居住，插花交叉居住。为便于耕作和灌溉，建国后曾作过5次比较大的土地互换与调整。插花村双方和睦相处，合作用水用电，友好办学，联合文化活动，携手发展经济。

Land-crossing villages are a very special historical problem and the different origins of governing them separately remain to be investigated. There are six such kinds of villages at the border between Jizhou City in Hebei Province and Xinhe County in Xingtai Province. They are Southern Small Stodkaded Village, Eastern Gao-family Village, Western Gao- family Village, Northern Huang-family Village, Dong-family Village and Eastern A-thousand-family Village, etc. These villages are located either by streets or by sections or in a crossing way. To facilitate fanning and irrigation, there have been five major exchanges and regulations of the land after the founding of the People＇s Republic of China. Land-crossing villages have been got along well with each other, using electricity and water cooperatively, running schools friendly, organizing cultural activities jointly and develop the economy hand in hand.
