From the view of connotation and features of city memory, this essay elaborates the conflicts between modernization and city memory＇s inheritance, globalization and city memory＇ s uniqueness, informatization and city memory＇ s emotionality. And some corresponding countermeasures are proposed in this essay, such as establishing related systems to resist ＂uncivilized＂ modernization, strengthening the regionalism of city against simple globalization and multi - ways and multi - alternatives to protect city memory and prevent its virtualization.
