关于《晏子春秋》的文体性质，古往今来主要有四类观点。《晏子春秋》创作的时代正处于中国古代文体发展的萌芽期，其文体性质不是单一的。立足文本的具体特征考察，《晏子春秋》既有人物传记的记人属性，又有小说文体的虚构因素；既有诸子散文的思想性，又有叙事文学的故事性，是一部体制特殊的古典文学作品。
