Understanding the conditions of Independent College students seeking for psychological counseling is prerequisites for promoting the pertinence and actual effect of the Independent College students＇ psychological health educational work. This investigation adopted the stratified sampling method by choosing 240 samples from Nanyue College of Hengyang Normal University. Through longitudinal and horizontal survey, mass questionnaires survey, interviews and other qualitative and quantita rive means of investigation, the paper explored the types of psychological perplexity of Independent College students, the students seeking for counseling and the choice of counseling methods and provided data reference and the basis of feasibility for developing psychological counseling work in Independent College.
