通过对柏拉图《理想国》与《法律篇》中城邦和谐统一思想的细致梳理与分析可知，《法律篇》消解了存在于《理想国》中为保持城邦秩序良好运转而采取的措施间出现的紧张关系，故从全局和整体上把握柏拉图城邦和谐统一的政治哲学思想对于当前构建社会主义和谐社会具有一定借鉴意义。

Most contemporary scholarship on Plato＇s political philosophy focuses on his early and middle corpus, especially on the Republic. However, the late dialogues are as important as the early and middle ones such as the Laws. According to the Republic, a harmonious city is the one in which the citizens are unified under the rule of intelligence. But there is a tension in the Republic among the principles aiming at the city＇s unity and harmony, and this tension is relieved by Plato in the Laws with principles that all citizens can share the same true beliefs about what is good and just. There are also resonances in nowadays guiding us how to build a harmonious society.
