作为早期中国共产主义运动的先驱，瞿秋白较早阐释了马克思主义经济理论的基本原理，并在研究苏俄新经济政策的基础上运用这一基本原理初步提出了未来中国社会主义经济制度的基本内容——在生产资料公有制前提下可多种经济成分并存，实行按劳分配，计划与市场相结合；指出解决中国经济问题的根本前提是彻底改造阻碍中国经济发展的旧社会，走社会主义道路，中心任务是发展生产力，当时的迫切任务是解决农民土地问题等。这不仅为马克思主义经济理论中国化做出了重要贡献，对当前我国的改革开放和社会主义市场经济建设也具有重要的理论价值和现实意义。

As a pioneer of the early Chinese communist movement, Qu Qiubai had explained the basic principles of Marxist economic theory. Through the of research of Soviet-Russian New Economic Policy, he preliminarily proposed the principles of Chinese socialist economic system in future-- ownership structure in diverse economic sectors with public ownership as the main body, distribution according to work, and combination of plan and market. He pointed out that the premise for the solution of Chinese economic problems was the transformation of the old society and the establishment of the socialist country. The central task was to develop the productive forces and the urgent one to resolve the farmer land issues etc. Qu Qiubai had made an important contribution to the sinicization of Marxist economic theory in China, which was of great value both theoretically and practically to the current China＇s reform and opening up and socialist market economic construction.
