抗日战争时期，日本对中国的侵略不只是军事上的，更是从政治、经济、文化等方面全面开战。为抵制日本文化渗透，唤醒国人捍卫中华，国民党采取战时基本文化政策与措施，组织开展了抗日救国宣传。中国共产党则坚持团结和进步的原则，充分发挥知识分子在文化阵地的作用，倡导全民族抗战，将全民族“动员起来，武装起来，组织起来”，投入到反击日本文化侵略的战斗中去。
항일전쟁시기，일본대중국적침략불지시군사상적，경시종정치、경제、문화등방면전면개전。위저제일본문화삼투，환성국인한위중화，국민당채취전시기본문화정책여조시，조직개전료항일구국선전。중국공산당칙견지단결화진보적원칙，충분발휘지식분자재문화진지적작용，창도전민족항전，장전민족“동원기래，무장기래，조직기래”，투입도반격일본문화침략적전두중거。
During the Anti-Japanese War, Japan invaded China not only with military forces, but also in the political, economic, and cultural areas. To resist the penetration of Japanese culture, the Chinese Kuomintang （KMT） implemented wartime basic cultural policies and organized Anti-Japanese publicity campaign to inspire people to guard the Nation. Persisting in the unity, progress and struggle against regression, Chinese Communist Party （CCP） called for the whole nation＇s resistance, made full use of everything to establish the cultural united front, inspired the intellectuals, strengthened people＇s state concept and national consciousness, and motivated the whole nation to resist Japan＇s invasion.
