西夏王朝创建了属于自己本民族的文字，给世人留下了数量浩繁、内容丰富的西夏文献。自被发现以来，由于历史等各方面的原因，大量流失海外，造成了不可弥补的遗憾和损失，现分藏于俄国、英国、法国、日本等国家。本文总结了西夏文献流失海外的原因、经过及目前在各国的分布和编纂情况，为将来顺利追回这些流失海外的珍贵西夏文献提供参考。

The Xixia Dynasty created their own native writing characters, and left myrids of Xixia litera- ture to the world. However, since the discovery of Xixia literature, a large number of documents have been plundered due to historical and other reasons. Most of documents lost overseas are kept in Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Japan and other countries. It inevitably causes irreparable regret and loss. This paper sum- marizes several situations of Xixia dynasty literature, including the loss reasons and process, and the distribu- tion and codification situations around the world. Hopefully, the paper would be helpful in providing the refer- ences to recover the precious Xixia dynasty literature.
