英语语块研究愈来愈受到国内语言学界和外语界的重视,语块研究之于外语教学与研究尤其是之于二语习得研究的重要性也日益彰显。文章首先简要介绍了有关理论背景以及概念表征的必要性和重要性,接着,文章以亚里士多德的有关概念表征理论为指导,引用国内外诸多专家学者的精辟论点对英语语块的概念进行了较为详细的阐述、表征和界定。

The study of English chunks has aroused increasing attention from both Chinese linguistics circle and foreign lan- guage teaching field in recent years. Its importance to foreign language teaching and research, especially to SLA study is be- coming prominent day by day. The present study, firstly, briefly introduces the related theory background and the necessity and importance of concept characterization. Secondly, under the guidance of some theories by Aristotle, the paper, attempts to elaborate,represente and define in detail the concept of English chunks basedon the domestic and foreign experts and schol- ars＇ penetrating argument.
