大学文化是大学之魂,我国大学教育质量保障与提升行动流于表面的根本原因在于大学自评估文化的缺失。英、美两国的自评估文化样态,展示了两种不同的自评估文化生成路径。借鉴国外的经验,我国大学应致力于建构＂外发内生型＂的自评估文化,如此,才能触及教育质量保障与提升的真正内核。

University culture is the soul of a university.Ineffective quality assurance in Chinese universities is primarily caused by the lack of a university self-evaluation culture.The British and American models of university self-evaluation culture show two different paths of self evaluation evolvement.Foreign experience may provide a useful example for Chinese universities to develop an integrated self evaluation culture,which in turn will help improve education quality assurance.
