This paper relates literatures on the notion and formation motivation of alliance portfolio, the relationship between alliance portfolio and the focal enterprises performance, and alliance portfolio management are reviewed. At the end, cur- rent research framework on alliance portfolio is summarized and the research shortages and future research directions are pointed out.
