两岸几十年来政治体系和教育思想的不同，使得年轻一代在性别角色认知与发展上存在差异。本研究运用量化研究法，了解到大陆与台湾大学生性别角色的发展现状：（1）两岸大学生女性特质高于男性特质，大陆高于台湾。（2）男女生的性别特质两岸差异明显。（3）大陆双性化、未分化和单性化比例大约各占1／3，而台湾大学生未分化比例过半，双性化与单性化比例较少。（4）大陆性别角色发展优于台湾，两岸不同背景下大学生性别角色分布差异显著。（5）背景因素影响大学生的性别角色发展。
량안궤십년래정치체계화교육사상적불동，사득년경일대재성별각색인지여발전상존재차이。본연구운용양화연구법，료해도대륙여태만대학생성별각색적발전현상：（1）량안대학생녀성특질고우남성특질，대륙고우태만。（2）남녀생적성별특질량안차이명현。（3）대륙쌍성화、미분화화단성화비례대약각점1／3，이태만대학생미분화비례과반，쌍성화여단성화비례교소。（4）대륙성별각색발전우우태만，량안불동배경하대학생성별각색분포차이현저。（5）배경인소영향대학생적성별각색발전。
Due to the differences of political system and educational ideas, the younger generation has significant difference in the sex roles development. This study conducted the questionnaire to reveal the sex roles development of college students from Taiwan and the mainland. The results show that：（1） for all the participants, their feminine trait is higher than the masculine trait, ones in the mainland is higher than in Taiwan. （2）There are significant differences in gender traits between Taiwan and the mainland. （3）In the mainland, the distributions of androgynous, undifferentiated, and traditional sex roles（feminine and mas- culine）are about one third respectively. However, in Taiwan, the proportion of undifferentiated is the majority, and the androgynous and traditional sex roles have only relatively small numbers. （4）There are significant differences among the demographic variables in both Tai-wan and the mainland; and the development of sex roles for college students in the mainland is better than that in Taiwan. （5） The college students＇ sex roles development was influenced by their demographic variables.
