历史上民族地区书院的创建对民族地区的文明进程产生了重大影响。清代湘西苗族地区书院的创建，成为湘西发展史上一种重要的文化现象，对湘西苗族地区政治经济文化产生了深远影响。本文认为湘西苗族地区书院的创建过程，是特定历史条件下民族文化互动交流的产物。湘西苗族地区书院的创建顺应了湘西苗族地区特有的文化生态，满足了湘西苗族社会对文明进步的迫切需求。
歷史上民族地區書院的創建對民族地區的文明進程產生瞭重大影響。清代湘西苗族地區書院的創建，成為湘西髮展史上一種重要的文化現象，對湘西苗族地區政治經濟文化產生瞭深遠影響。本文認為湘西苗族地區書院的創建過程，是特定歷史條件下民族文化互動交流的產物。湘西苗族地區書院的創建順應瞭湘西苗族地區特有的文化生態，滿足瞭湘西苗族社會對文明進步的迫切需求。

In history, the establishment of the academies in the minority areas produced significant influences on civilized progress of the minority areas. The establishment of the academies in Xiangxi Miao communities during the Qing Dynasty became a cultural phenomenon of the Xiangxi historical development. The growth of academy produced a far-reaching influence on Xiangxi politics and economy. This essay argues that academy establishment in Xiangxi Miao area was the product of interaction of national cultures under the condition of specific history. Academy establishment in Xiangxi Miao area complied with the proper cultural ecology of Xiangxi Miao area and met the crying need of civilization growth for Xiangxi Miao communities.
