珞巴族是我国西藏南部地区的古老民族。居住在我国实际控制地区的珞巴族仅有数千人,而居住在中印领土争议东段地区的珞巴族则达几十万人。尼西部落是藏南珞巴族的重要支系,世代生息在西藏山南地区卡门河至西巴霞曲之间的地带。20世纪50年代至今,尼西人一直处于印方控制之下。由于相关资料缺乏和实地考察不便,目前国内学界对这部分珞巴族人口的情况关注较少。本文结合中外文资料,对中印领土争议东段地区珞巴族尼西部落的传统社会生活做了粗浅探讨。

Lhoba ethnic group is an ancient nationality located in the southern part of China＇s Tibet.The Lhoba ethnic group living in the areas actually controlled by China has a population of only several thousand.However,the people of Lhoba ethnic group who dwell in the eastern areas of China-India disputed territory reaches hundreds of thousands.Nishi tribe is an important branch of Lhoba ethnic group,and its people inhabit in the areas between Carmen River in Shannan Prefecture of Tibet and Xibaxiaqu.The Nishis have been under control of Indian government since 1950s.Because the lack of relevant materials and the inconvenience of on-the-spot investigation,currently domestic academic circle pays little attention on the population situation of Lhoba ethnic group.This article discusses the traditional social life of Nishi tribe of Lhoba ethnic group inhabiting in the eastern areas of China-India disputed territory in accordence with materials in Chinese and multiple foreign languages.
