Doctorial candidates play an important role in research universities＇ scientific and technological innovation. Their driving force for scientific research consists of two types of factor. The first is the intrinsic factor which mainly includes their goal for academic profession, interest in researching, great achievements, and judgment of academic value. The other is the external factor which mainly includes requirements for researching from their schools and faculty, supervision and guidance of their tutors, subsidy for research, laboratory conditions, resources of academic database, participation in international communication and collaboration.
