The legal system is an institution of social cognition. The functions of the law rely upon people＇s cognitive abili- ty, and the ways of people＇s cognition may be influenced by the laws as such. And market mechanisms may be hindered to hit the real value of transacted goods with working of our limited rationality. Therefore, legal intervention in the markets is needed to rights and properties. However, Present -biased preferences--endowment effect and hyperbolic discounting may disturb the choice of protection rules of entitlements through the private information and individual beliefs.
