Since 2000, the situation of China's regional economy and population distribution has undergone tremendous changes, rapid growth of the regional economy, drastic changes in the industrial structure, and there has been a profound adjustment in spatial pattern of the population. In general, regional population growth momentum has slowed, the spatial pattern of development toward polycentrie agglomeration. In the inter-provincial migration, Guangdong thriving situation began to change, the gravity center of population migration has transferred from Pearl River Delta to Yangtze River Delta and other areas. The eastern region is still the most important population bearing area, while the regional population regression is accelerating in the western part. During this period, the reason of population migration more and more diversified, and social factors gradually increased, the directions of migration become more complex. We must look far ahead from a high plane, guide on population redistribution reasonably, and make it more conducive to regional economic and social development.
