The transformation potential of Industry-University-Institute patent, especially the Industry- University patent is relatively strong and the number of cooperative patents can well characterize the S & T innovation ability and technology transfer potential of a university, so that it is the important representative of university's entrepreneurial ability. Data analyses shows that the total number of domestic cooperation patent of a Central MinistlT-affiliated Universities is increasing rapidly, but its proportion in the total number of cooperation patent is relatively stable. Maybe this shows that the depth of the cooperation is not significantly improved in the meanwhile of the scale of cooperative research and development is rising steadily. Industry universities and comprehensive universities of S & T have stronger patent research and development ability of cooperation and the cooperation between industry and university has become the main form of the cooperative research and development of patent, but there is a poor performance in a handful of liberal arts, agriculture and forestry universities. Under the Perspective of Collaborative Innovation, universities and government should encourage industry-university-institute cooperating in patent research and development activities, and make it into the evaluation system to enhance the marketing potential of scientific and technological achievements.
