世人眼中狂妄自负的废名,性格中却有自卑躁郁的一面。废名自卑心理形成的最初由来可以追溯到童年的诸多遭际：在家庭中有意无意遭到长辈的忽略和冷落、长期病痛的折磨、从小被家里定下娃娃亲以及在爱情和婚姻上失去主动权等。自卑心理是废名个性心理特征中不容忽视的部分,对废名后来有关人生与创作的若干选择影响颇大。

This paper discusses and analyzes the initial cause of Fei Ming＇s inferior personality and how it is revealed in his writing,and finally comes to such a conclusion that the facts that he was neglected by the family during his childhood,tortured by long-term sickness,his marriage arranged by his parents and lose of his independence and freedom in pursuing love and building his own marriage,cause his inferiority complex.This is the core characteristic of his personality and it has hugely influenced his life and his writing later.
