文艺美学是由中国学者倡导并积极建设的一门具有中国当代原创性的人文学科。新时期文艺美学在上世纪80年代作为中国审美现代性的产物，有效地融合了美学和文艺学研究，标志性事件是胡经之先生创建的“体验论”核心范畴；80年代末，中青年学者立足于人类生命活动和实践活动本体论，进一步从阐释论、价值论等角度深化文艺美学研究，提出各自不同的文艺美学理论体系；进入90年代，文艺美学学术范式发生了语言论、文化论及后现代论转向，中国的文艺美学发展经过几代学者的努力建构，显示出蓬勃的学术生命力。

Literary aesthetics is a humanistic subject advocated and established by Chinese scholars. The liter- ary aesthetics of the new period is the product of the Chinese aesthetic modernity in the 1980s which has integrated aesthetics with literary research effectively. The symbolic event is the ＂experiential theory＂ created by Hu Jingzhi. In the end of 1980s, middle-aged and young scholars took human life activity and practice activity as the basis to deepen the research of literary aesthetics from the angle of interpretation. They have established their own theoreti- cal systems of literary aesthetics. From the 1990s, the academic paradigm of literary aesthetics has turned to the categories of linguistics, culture and post - modernity. Through the efforts of several generations, the development of Chinese literary aesthetics has exhibited strong academic vitality.
