近些年学界政界一些人对我国以民族区域自治为核心的民族政策提出质疑，但延边朝鲜族自治州成立60年来的实践证明，民族区域自治是保障民族地区和谐稳定的制度基石，民族区域自治“作为党解决我国民族问题的一条基本经验不容置疑，作为我国的一项基本政治制度不容动摇，作为我国社会主义的一大政治优势不容削弱”。在当今经济转轨和社会转型的大背景下，民族区域自治面临一些新情况、新问题。新形势下，我国民族政策的走向应该是与时俱进、完善创新，绝不是“换代”，更不是全盘移植其他国家的所谓“熔炉”模式。

In recent years, some scholars and politicians have questioned our ethnic policies with ethnic regional autonomy as the core. However, the 60 - year history of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture has proved that ethnic regional autonomy is the institutional basis for the harmony and stability of ethnic regions, a basic approach and policy of CPC for solving ethnic problems and a political ad- vantage of socialism. In the socio - economic transitional period of China, there have appeared some new problems concerning ethnic regional autonomy but the improvement of this policy in line with the times is the only way rather than the replacement of it by the mod- els of other countries.
