《女狱花》《黄绣球》是晚清新女性问题小说的代表作，对女性的日常生活和社会活动进行了大量的描写，塑造了许平权、黄绣球等令人耳目一新的女豪杰形象，蕴涵着很高的审美价值，表现了晚清时期先进知识分子的女性意识与思想观念的崭新变化。新女性形象及其意识的出现．是一定的文学传统、文化背景及其民族心理的积淀和启迪，也是作家思想观念与创作动机的集中表现。

Nvyuhua and Huangxiuqiu were the representative works of female issues related novels during the late Qing dy- nasty, which mainly narrated women＇s everyday lives and social activities, as well as some new images of women such as Xu l：＇ingquan and Huang Xiuqiu etc. , contained high aesthetic value, revealed the intellectuals of their fenrale consciousness and the change of consciousness. The new image and consciousness are the accumulations and Enlightenment of literature tradition, cul- tural backgrounds and ethnic psychology, also the main manifestation of authors＇ concept and motivation of creation.
