已有文献关于跨学科的主张,基本上是把可能性作为必然性来论述的。预防艾滋病领域中跨学科实验的经验与教训表明,跨学科主张的理想与现实之间尚有很大差距,有必要对跨学科主张进行认真反思。不同学科之间存在着世界观和方法论的冲突,这给跨学科主张的实现带来挑战。如果不正视这一点,跨学科的主张就可能成为陷阱,影响甚至扭曲学术的发展方向。实现真正的跨学科研究,需要具备三个方面的条件,即必要条件:各个学科内部的多元平等、自甘边缘的异端分子与他们的开放性;充分条件:创建世界观、思维逻辑和价值取向三方面的新的元命题;发展条件:创立新的方法论。

All the propositions concerning interdisciplinary approach thus far have taken "possibilities" as certainties. Experiences and lessons drawn from interdisciplinary AIDS prevention experiments reveal that there is a wide gap between the ideal and the actual situation, which points to a need of careful reflections on those propositions. To avoid turning "disciplinary approach" into a trap, this paper critically analyzes the challenges based on the conflicts between different disciplines of their epistemology and methodology, followed by a discussion of the conditions of its possibilities. Three necessary conditions include: diversity and equality within each discipline, the spaces for the heretics and the openness of the discipline. The sufficient conditions include: creating new statements on epistemology, the logics of thinking and values. Creating new methodology is an important developmental condition.
