常州乱针绣是一种极富地方特色的非物质文化遗产，绣品具有针法活泼、线条流畅、色彩丰富、层次感强、风格独特等特点，具有精美的艺术价值和深厚的文化价值。乱针绣的传承和保护是在传统乱针绣工艺流程的基础上，采用技术和艺术相结合之路，将数字化模拟与再现、计算机辅助制作与优化、数字化展示与发布等数字化手段应用于常州乱针绣技艺的保护、再现和培训中，从而拓宽传统技艺的传承渠道，增强地方非物质文化遗产的核心竞争力。
