今年全国“两会”期间,习近平总书记参加江苏代表团的审议讨论时发表重要讲话,其中围绕城镇化问题,指出了我省城镇化取得的成就和存在的问题,强调要推动城镇化向质量提升转变.省委、省政府高度重视,目前把提升城镇化质量作为江苏转型发展的“三大重点”之一.

During the annual sessions of NPC and CPCCC, General Secrectary Xi Jinping gave a talk on urbanization when he attended Jiangsu delegates＇s discussions. He pointed out the achieve- ments as well as problems in the China＇s urbanization, including Jiangsu＇s, stressing the necessity of shifting from quantity to quality. Jiangsu CPC committee and Jiangsu provincial government took his opinion seriously, setting such a shift as one of the three keys in Jiangsu＇s transformation of development mode. And on the base of recent field work and collective discussion, we put forward several proposals on accelerating such a shift.
