我国银行业走向市场竞争，是我国自1984年实施金融改革以来的最显著进展之一。有关我国银行业竞争水平与我国建立公平竞争市场机制要求是否相适应的问题，国内有大量学者运用从国外引入分析模型进行探索和论证，其中以引入“潘泽一罗斯模型”（简称“PR模型”）最为典型。那么，模型分析及模型分析基础上的对策讨论是不是对我国经济和金融现实具有很强的解释意义呢？针对上述所提问题。本文将在模型精细分析的基础上作一些商榷性的讨论。
