通过采取实证定量问卷方法对云南省跨境民族学生三语教育的态度进行了考察。受试对象为云南省跨境民族地区27所大中小学的3905名学生。问卷包括有关受试语言背景和三语(本民族母语、汉语和英语)学习态度等问题。主要根据Adamson和Feng(2009)三语教育问卷编制而成,用SPSS17.0统计软件对数据进行了频率分析和描写性分析。本调查初步弄清了云南跨境民族三语现象和三语教育现状,对三语教育成效给予了充分肯定。在此调查基础上,本文对云南跨境民族地区的外语教育提出了少数民族自治县采用民族语“就近”选择以及非少数民族自治县采用邻国语种“优先”选择原则的建议。

This paper presents an empirical research project on the attitude of trilingual (ethnic mother tongue, Mandarin Chinese and English) education of cross-border ethnic minority students in Yunnan, China. The subjects, obtained from a stratified sampling, were 3,905 cross-border ethnic minority students of elementary, secondary and tertiary levels from 27 schools and universities in Yunnan Province, China. The questionnaires, which regard the subjects' language background, the situation and conditions of trilingual education, attitude towards trilingual education and foreign lan- guage learning, were based essentially on the Trilingual Education Survey Scale of Adamson & Feng (2009). Frequency Analysis and Descriptive Analysis of SPSS 17.0 were performed on the data, to explore the attitudes and examine the effect of demographic features. The results showed that in the context of trilingualism and trilingual education, majority of the subjects had a positive attitude to- wards trilingual education. On the basis of the survey, this project made a proposal for the foreign language education plan of cross-border ethnic minority areas in Yunnan, China.
