《骨董十三说》最早由杨文斌在光绪二十三年从董其昌书帖中录出刊行行，杨氏没有将董氏直接标为作者，并将疑虑写进跋中，但此后出版者均直接将董氏标为该书的作者．学者引用也很少怀疑。而现有资料证明，董其昌只是《骨董十三说》书帖的书写者，不是该书的著作者。该书不独言骨董品鉴、骨董文化、骨董哲学．亦阐发设计思想，强调物品的适用功能，关注物与物关系和大设计，重视主体对待物的态度和造物合于自然。
《골동십삼설》최조유양문빈재광서이십삼년종동기창서첩중록출간행행，양씨몰유장동씨직접표위작자，병장의필사진발중，단차후출판자균직접장동씨표위해서적작자．학자인용야흔소부의。이현유자료증명，동기창지시《골동십삼설》서첩적서사자，불시해서적저작자。해서불독언골동품감、골동문화、골동철학．역천발설계사상，강조물품적괄용공능，관주물여물관계화대설계，중시주체대대물적태도화조물합우자연。
Tbirteen Talks about Antique, collected from Dong Qichang＇s calligraphy, was first published by Yang Wenbin in the 23th year of Guangxu, in the Qing dynasty. In fact, Yang doubted that Dong really wrote the book. Therefore, he didn＇t list Dong as the author and his concerns were written at the end of the book to inspire further exploration on the true author for readers. However, all of the subsequent publish- ers listed Dong as the author of this book. Little doubts were put forward by scholars who cited the book. Actually, recently available documents indicated that Dong simply backup the book seen by Yang. Never- theless, not only appreciation of antique, cuhurc of antique and philosophy of antique were discussed, but also design ideas were illustrated in this book. These features were mainly demonstrated in the following three aspects： the importance of the functionality of ilems, concerns of the relationship between items and grand design, paying more attention to the attitude of subject （main body） treating matter and the integra- tion of manufacture and nature.
