The application and development of innovative design methods is a subject of great practical significance, which needs to be studied in the field of engineering technology, related industries and enterprises in the world. After a brief introduction of connotations and its development history on innovative design methods, this paper analyzes the applications of innovative designs in mechanical and electronic products, mechanical designs and architectural designs, introduces the concept of in- novative design approaches to architecture designs and urban- rural planning, and finally points out the effect and develop- ment trend of innovation designs.
