在逻辑学的视角下，以往研究的翻译等值大都是断言等值，这种等值属于表层等值。本文旨在论证深层的翻译等值不仅是断言等值，更重要的是预设等值。本文指出，翻译时若要做到预设等值，首先需要对预设的类别进行细致划分，同时深入考察作为翻译主体的译者在翻译过程中的认知机制。文章以杨宪益、戴乃迭夫妇和霍克斯的《红楼梦》译本进行对比研究，进而探索汉英翻译中预设等值的操作方法以及不同的翻译方式如何具体体现出译者主体性。基于译者主体性的认知视角可以实现对不同翻译方法和翻译文本作出更加客观的评价。

Fromthe perspective of logics, the previous studies of translation equivalence mainly focused on assertion equivalence. However,deep translation equivalence refers to not only assertion equivalence, but also presupposition equivalence. This paper proposes that presupposition equivalence should be realized through careful analysis of presupposition categories and pro- found inspection of the translator＇s cognitive mechanism. Taking some texts from A Dream of Red Mansions translated by Yang Hsien-Yi and Gladys Yang and The Story of the Stone by David Hawkes as focus of examination, the paper makes a contrastive exploration on the concrete operational methods of presupposi- tion equivalence in Chinese-English translation and the precise embodiment of translators＇ subjectivity. It is concluded that based on the cognitive viewpoint of the translator＇s subjectivity, more objective evaluation can be made on either different translation evaluations or translation texts.
