针对北京市主要交通拥挤的具体问题，分析其基本原因。介绍城市交通流量的特点与计算参数，并列举交通流量的研究方法，通过对北京市交叉路口的交通流量的具体数据进行SPSS数据分析，运用聚类分析、相关分析等手段判断北京市交通拥挤分类的不同原因，并提出控制交通流量的管理对策。
