“假传”，即借鉴史书人物传的写作手法为器、物作传的文体形式。历代假传作品数量众多，记载对象范围广泛，作品形式呈现系列化的倾向。作为融合了史传、杂传、小说和寓言为一体的文体形式，假传在写作手法上，不仅“以史为戏”，模仿史传的写作模式，而且融入了小说、寓言中夸张、用典、双关等表现手法，形成了亦庄亦谐的叙事风格。假传通过幽默诙谐的笔墨，寄寓了作者对于自身仕途穷达、道德品行以及社会问题的见解和看法，展现了作者的创作观念和人生社会理想。

Pseudo-biography, or ＂Jia Zhuan＂ in Chinese literally, is a genre that applies the biographical techniques of historical records to the description of inanimate objects. In Chinese history of literature there have been numerous pseudo-biographical works, covering a great range of objects and featuring different series of topics. As far as its writing techniques are concerned, pseudo-biography incorporates the features of histori- cal and other miscellaneous biographies, novels, and fables; it not only ＂plays on the history＂, i. e. , imitates the model of historical biographies, but also integrates such skills of novels and fables as exaggerations, allu- sions and puns, thereby impressing the readers with a seriocomic style of narration. Through such humorous skills, pseudo-biographical works express their authors＇ reers, moral virtues and social problems, and display the als. understanding of, and opinions on, their own ca- biographers＇ literary philosophies and personal ideals.
