广西桂林灵川县九屋镇江头洲村被誉为“百年清官村”。该村在明清时期出现了一百多位出仕为官者群体。而且人人都为官清廉。“百年清官村”具有丰富的文化内核，即爱莲文化所蕴含的君子人格追求、科举文化所导引的读书成才取向与耻感文化所昭示的知耻求荣观念。其文化之所以形成，得益于理学南传及其在广西传播所产生的深刻影响、德育为先的家庭教育模式所产生的巨大成效以及中国古代清官文化所产生的积极作用。

Jiangtouzhou Village in Jiuwu Town of Lingchuan County of Guilin Guangxi is well-known as the ＂ centennial village of upright officials＂. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, over 100 officials came out of the village and all of them kept uncorrupted and honest in their terms of office. The pro- found cultural essences of the ＂centennial village of upright officials＂ include the gentlemen＇s pursuit of dignity implied in the lotus-loving culture, the orientation of learning to success guided by the imperial examination culture, and the clear concepts of honor and disgrace proclaimed by the shame-based culture. The forming of this culture results from the southward dissemination of the Neo-Con- fucianismand its profound impacts in Guangxi, the great effects caused by the morality-priority family education mode and the upright official cultures in ancient China.
