“Multiplication” is an important concept in elementary school. Based on the former researches, this paper summarizes four types of models of multiplication, such as the aggregation of equivalent group, rectangular model, matching model and multiple models. Under the framework of these four kinds of models, this article analyzes “multiplication” content in the textbooks published by PEP to put forward specific suggestions for teaching multiplication in primary schools.
