为了更好满足社会和学生对大学英语教学的要求,中央民族大学开展了大学英语后续课程体系建设研究。通过对调查问卷进行分析,我们发现学生对语言基础类和应试英语类课程的选修需求最为强烈,占据了选修意向前十位课程中的八门。有语言应用类课程和语言文化类课程选修需求的学生也不在少数。为贯彻“一切以学生为中心”的教学宗旨,我们需要充分调研,有步骤地逐渐开设满足社会发展需要和学生自身需求的后续课程,提高大学英语教学质量和教学产出。

In order to better satisfy the needs to improve College English education, Minzu University of China has undertaken the research to construct the system of follow-up courses of College English. Our survey showed that students take an intense interest in both exam-oriented courses and essential language courses which together constitute top eight courses out of the top ten courses of students' choice. However, students also show a strong interest in applied linguistic courses and cross-culture courses. To implement student-oriented teaching philosophy, we should carry out sufficient surveys and set up follow-up courses in an organized and scientific way to improve the quality and output of College English education.
