班固的《汉书·艺文志》是一部对中国学术产生了深远影响的重要的书目分类著作和史学著作，后人凡欲考见群经授受源流和古籍存佚真伪均须仰赖此书，然而《汉书·艺文志》又不是一部简单的“辨章学术，考镜源流”的史学著作，其行文体现了显著的儒学话语建构的意图。目录既受制于文化，也会对文化产生一定的反作用，《汉书·艺文志》的书目分类从根本上看是对文化系统的划分，这种划分蕴含着著者对当时文化的理解、分析和驾驭，实际上是一种对典籍的清理和对文化的重构。

Han Shu· Yi Wen Zhi written by BAN Gu is a bibliographic and historiographic work which has far - reaching impact on Chinese academic tradition and has been read by all those who need to study the origin and de- velopment of Confucian classics and the status of preservation and authenticity of ancient books. However,it is not a simple historiographic works used to manifest the academic tradition and testify the origin and development of ancient books. The writing style of Hart Shu ~ Yi Wen Zhi reflects the obvious intention of constructing Confucianism discourse. Cataloguing is not only constrained by the culture, but also has the opposite effect on the culture at the same time. The classification of the books is essentially a kind of classification of cultural system. This kind of classi- fication of the books contains the author＇ s understanding, analysis and control of the culture and actually it is a kind of reorganization of the ancient books and a kind of reconstruction of the culture.
