叙事是呈现和理解教师经验的有效方式。基于叙事研究理念和相关文献,我们设计了一套涵盖5个维度的叙事问卷,用于研究高校英语教师专业发展环境。本文报告该问卷的设计过程,并以教师科研维度为例,报告前期研究的部分结果,以展示叙事问卷的初步应用效果。研究发现,叙事问卷的最大优势是大样本叙事数据的收集和分析;其不足是开放性不够,使部分教师故事的自然度和深度受到影响,这些不足将在后续个案研究中通过深度访谈得到弥补。

Narratives serve as an effective way of presenting and understanding teachers' experiences. Drawing on narrative research and related studies, we design a set of narrative frames with fi ve dimensions, aiming to study the context of university EFL teachers' professional development. This paper reports on the design of the narrative frames as well as a pilot study using the "teachers' research" frames to illustrate the effectiveness of this new instrument. The study has revealed that the major strength of the frames lies in collecting and analyzing a large sample of narrative data, while its weakness is the frames' insuffi cient openness, which affects the naturalness and depth of teachers' stories. This weakness, however, will be addressed by in-depth interviews of the follow-up case studies.
