"Expressive order" is one of important theories of Bemstein. The theory lies in transmitting a kind of expression of some behavior, character and attitude, and a kind of moral order which each student and teacher should have. Expressive order makes each school become a unique moral aggregation, which is the resource of common value of schools and the main mechanism of social consensus. The transmission of school expressive order is mainly through ritualization. Bernstein's theory on expressive order, as a kind of theory of school moral education and its management, is very profound and unique, which brings many inspirations to the theory and practice of school moral education.
