With the age of network information coming, university libraries at home and abroad are facing the risk of marginalization, and our countryg university libraries are especially prominent. The article summarizes the present situation of marginalization in our u- niversity libraries and puts forward active countermeasures. The author points out that in order to actively respond to the challenges of marginalization our country~ university libraries must size up the situation, adhere to the people - oriented, plan the whole library＇s sys-tem and function through discipline and service and using the network information technology to all - round support and participate in the school teaching and scientific research activities. 5 refs.
