An Exploration of Mao Zedong＇s Thought of Knowledge-based Marxist Ruling Party Ding Junping （ School of Marxism of Wuhan University, Wuhan Hubei 430072） Abstract：Mao Zedong had attached great importance to acquisition of knowledge in his whole life. During Chinese revolution period, he considered knowledge acquisition as a strategic task of the ruling party building of the Communist Party of China and a vital way to improve the abilities of management and construction and to maintain its purity and advancement. This is a fundamental thought clearly advocated by Mao Zedong on the eve of new Chi- na.
