云南民族团结进步与边疆繁荣稳定示范区建设战略中提出十大示范和三大跨越，其目标是以跨越实现示范，其路径是在“云南现象”、“云南经验”等优势基础上以一系列的跨越为全国做出示范。民族团结进步的示范是“探索中国特色云南特点的民族工作道路”，少数民族和民族地区发展的示范是缩小各民族间经济差距、提升生活水平，并探索经济社会发展的综合型示范性模式。边疆繁荣和对外开放的示范需要通过跨越以发挥云南在“中国面向西南开放重要桥头堡”的重大作用。

The ten grand models and the three big spanning presented in the constructional strategy of Yunnan nationalities unity and progress and prosperity and stability in border areas, in order to achieve model by series of spanning developments and to set an exam- ple for the whole country. The model of national unity and progress is to explore the national road characterized by Chinese characteris- tics and Yunnan peculiarity. The model of minority areas can reduce the economic gap, promote living standard and explore the com- prehensive demonstration mode of the economic society. The prosperity in border areas and opening policy need to replay a major role in the opening an important bridgehead for the Southwest in Yunnan. The construction of the demonstration plot is the driving force and good device in the striding development of Yunnan.
