石器时代东西方人群的远距离迁徙,初步奠定了内陆欧亚人类及文化分布的基本格局。青铜时代东西方人群的迁徙更加频繁,这时期欧亚大陆西东向的文化交流可以用史前＂青铜之路＂来概括。史前＂青铜之路＂主要指的是欧亚西部青铜技术东向的传播途径、方式与过程,同时随着史前＂青铜之路＂的开辟,自西向东传播的还有小麦和大麦的人工种植技术、羊和牛的驯养,它们共同构成了史前＂青铜之路＂研究的内容。史前＂青铜之路＂的形成和繁荣时期,正是中原文明起源与发展的关键阶段。中原文明的起源是多种因素碰撞交融与发展的结晶。20世纪末到21世纪初,随着中亚的东西部及中原黄河流域考古新发现和科技考古的重要突破,学术界不断意识到中原早期文明的起源与史前＂青铜之路＂繁荣有内在关系。史前＂青铜之路＂的研究,对探索中国早期文明起源所具有的重要意义不言而喻。

The migration made by western people over long distance during the Stone Age has initially laid the basic pattern of Euro-Asian people and their culture distributed in land-locked region. The forming and prospering period of pre-history ＂Bronze Road＂ coincided with the origin of central-plains civilization and development at critical stage. The civilization of the central plains origins from multiple-factor clash and fusion. From late last century to early this century. Along with new archaeological discovery and seminal breakthrough in archaeological science in both westem and eastem parts of central Asia and the Yellow River Valley in the central plains, the academic world constantly real- izes the origin of earlier Chinese civilization in the central plains has intrinsic ties with the prosperity of pre-history ＂Bronze Road＂. Its research bears great significance beyond words on earlier Chinese civilization.
