文化主体性是贯穿于费孝通学术生涯的重要主题，是他探索在现代化与全球化进程中，如何坚持文化自觉、维护和完善中国文化根基的核心概念。本文从文化特性和文化自主适应性两个方面，呈现费孝通在家庭研究领域内对于文化主体性的具体剖析和积极探索，并指出，家庭研究不仅是费孝通运用文化自觉理念、把握中国文化主体性的初步研究实践，同时也为他在后续研究中深入贯彻文化自觉、发掘中国文化的主体性奠定了重要基础。

Cultural subjectivity is an important theme in Fei Hsiao -tung ’ s academic career .It is also the core concept of his exploration of how to insist on cultural self -consciousness , to maintain and to improve Chinese culture root in the process of modernization and globalization .This article presents Fei ’ s analysis and active exploration of cultural subjectivity in the family field from two aspects---cultural identity and self a-daptability.Family research not only serves as Fei Hsiao -tung’s initial practice of using the concept of cul-tural self-consciousness to grasp Chinese cultural subjectivity , but also lays an important foundation to thor-oughly applying the concept of cultural self -consciousness and excavating the cultural subjectivity of China in his subsequent study .
