卢卡奇是以实现人类的全面解放为旨趣阐发其社会主义民主化思想的。他认为资本主义民主在形式和内容上是割裂的，是表面的政治民主和实际的经济不民主，而民主只有在社会主义社会才能够真正实现。他将社会主义民主化进程与社会主义的历史使命联系在一起，指出只有使民主回归于生活世界，恢复公民参与政治的活力，并以民主化为中介完成人的自我教化，才能够实现人类的自我完善，完成社会主义向共产主义过渡的历史使命。

Lukacs expounds his idea of socialist democratization with the final purpose, to liberate hu- man being. He believes that the form and content of capitalist democracy were internally inconsistent, In politics it is ostensibly democratic, however, On economics it is actually undemocratic. Therefore, only in socialist society can truly democracy be achieved. For Lukacs,the socialist democratization is cotermi- nous with the socialist＇s historical mission, he said that only if the democracy has returned to the every- day life, has recovered the initiative of citizen participation and has achieved the self-education via democ- ratization, the self- improvement of human being can be fulfilled, and then we can finally achieve the historical mission and to transform socialist into communist.
