Word order is an important grammatical means of either English or Chinese, which plays a decisive role in the inner grammatical relations within syntax structures. It might be a more scientific method for a comparative study of English and Chi- nese languages to draw a comparison between the English and Chinese typological characteristics of word order from the per- spectives of syntax, semantic and pragmatics.
