甲、乙之变后,明遗民逃禅成风,形成清初文化史中的一道独特的景观,曾灿即是其中的一员.对于曾灿之逃禅经历,相关文献中并无明确记载,然经考证,其从顺治四年（1647）至顺治十年（1653）逃匿禅国六年时间.顺治三年（1646）十月,赣州城破,对曾氏父子有知遇之恩的杨廷麟投水殉节,曾氏“封侯之志”幻灭,稍后父亲病故,遂逃于禅国,一以避难,二以慰其心.这段短暂的逃禅经历无疑是其人生历程中别样的“色调”,对其此后的生存心态、人生观念及其诗歌风貌都产生了重要影响.曾灿之逃禅折射出了清初遗民在特殊的历史背景中对生命意义的艰难求证,具有丰富的历史文化蕴含.

After the death of the Ming Dynasty in the year of Jia - shen, adherents following the law of Zen became common and formed a special cultural landscape in that society. Zeng Can was an example. Although there were not clear records about the experience of Zeng Can following the laws of Zen in correlative documents, it was proven that Zeng Can followed the laws of Zen from 1647 to 1653. In October 1646, when Gan Zhou City was con- quered and Yang Ting - lin who put Zeng Can and his father in an important position died for the Ming Dynasty by drowning himself, Zeng Can＇ s dream of serving his country was shattered, and his father died because of sickness shortly after. At that time, Zeng Can followed the laws of Zen in order to take refuge and soothe his soul. The experience was different hue in his life and left a deep influence on his living attitude, the idea of life and his creation of poetry. Zeng Can＇s following the laws of Zen showed that adherents of the Ming Dynasty made great Efforts to prove the meaning of the life, and so had abundant historical and cultural connotations.
