当前我国正积极推进大学章程建设，研究世界一流大学的章程无疑对我们具有启迪意义。斯坦福大学章程在该校办学过程中发挥了重要的指导作用，其突出特点可以概括为：章程依法颁布，修订与时俱进；政府宏观指导，大学自主管理；条款详尽细致，操作有章可循；办学特色鲜明，彰显独特理念。从中我们可以获得以下启示：应增强对大学章程建设重要性的认识；通过章程制定应依法落实大学办学自主权；章程的文本内容应充分体现本校的办学特色并具有可操作性。

In the present statute promoting construction of China＇s university historical juncture, the careful study of a famous foreign university statute, it has enlightening signifi- cance for us. Stanford University Statute plays a very important role in the process of run- ning Stanford University. Its prominent characteristics can be summarized as follows： stat- ute of association according to law promulgated, revised to keep pace with the times; the government＇s macro guidance, university autonomy; detailed terms, operation rules; dis- tinctive characteristics, highlight the idea alone. Successful cases of mirror in the Stanford University Statute, we should obtain the enlightenment： enhance the awareness of the im- portance of the university statutes construction; through the formulation of the statute shall implement the autonomy of higher education according to law; content of the statute should ＇ fully embody the university running characteristics and operations.
