郑樵《通志·昆虫草木略》系删减其《本草成书》而成,具有明显的本草学渊源.作为独立于宋代本草学系统之外的一部简本史学家本草,郑樵将鸟兽草木辨名之学推向了前所未有的高度,也因此舍弃了本草学中最有价值的药理部分.以《昆虫草木略》中草类为例,可以见出其记载的植物种类、异名及特点在前人本草学著作中均有迹可寻,他只在细微处进行了有限的调整和补充,其中有可资参考处,亦不乏错误处.详尽揭示《昆虫草木略》的本草学渊源,有助于客观评价其价值,为相关研究提供更信实的基础.

Zheng Qiao＇s Tong Zhi ： Kun Chong Cao Mu Lue is taken from his book Ben Cao Cheng Shu, which has the obvious herbal origin, and is an independent abridged edition of herbalism outside the herbalism system of the Song dynasty. Zheng has studied the names of animals and plants to an unprecedented height, so as to abandon the most valuable pharmacological part in herbalism. Taking the category of vegetation in Kun Chong Cao Mu Lue as a case study, it can be seen that the categories, synonyms and characteristics of plant species which Zheng record found in the previous medical writings, and he only adjusted and supplemented limitedly in the subtle, ed, can be which has referential points, as well as errors. A careful review of the herbalism origin of Kun Chong Cao Mu Lue, is helpful to evaluate it objectively, and provide the most basic truth for the related research.
