人的“潜能”生而有之,人的超越性、非规定性决定了人不懈地追求潜能的实现.教育的本真正是充分、全面地发展人的潜能,使人成为人.人潜能的实现以及实现何种潜能都要取决于一定的内外部条件.人的潜能是有理知潜能,它有实现相反潜能的可能.当今的教育的统一化、标准化使得教育本真偏离,人潜能的遮蔽.教育要回归本真,不仅要面向“抽象的人”,发展人的“类潜能”,更要面向“具体的人”,发展人的“种潜能”,使得人的潜能得以去蔽与实现.

Potency and act is a pair of important components in Aristotle' s metaphysics, which resolves the difficulty how thing moves and changes. It has analyzed the meaning of potency and act, the categories of potency, the conditions of actualizing the potency and the relationship between act and potency. Through the research of the theory of act and potency, it has explored the essence of education. People are born with potency. The transcendence and indefiniteness of people decides that they pursue their realization of potency incessantly. The essence of education is to actually develop people' s potency and make people become human. Realizing these potencies depends on some internal and external conditions. People' s potency is the rational potency which can lead to a contradictory one. The present standardized and unified education has leaded the essence of education being deviated and the actualization of human potency being abstracted. Education needs to return to its essence, it should not only orient to the abstract people to develop their class potencies, but also face to the individual to develop his or her specific potency, and then to realize the real human potency.
